2011 was the year of the string quartet.

In 2011 I read “The Rest is Noise” and “Listen to This” by Alex Ross, music critic of the New Yorker.

For 2012 I will be working my way back through these books listening to all the music Ross cites – I’ll be starting with “The Rest is Noise – Listening to the Twentieth Century” but expect to take some detours soon.
